Joanne graduated from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Clinical Science) and a Masters in Osteopathy.
Upon returning home to Brisbane Joanne gained valuable knowledge working as a structural Osteopath at a clinic in Tarragindi as well as a mixed complementary medicine clinic in Paddington. With the growing need for Osteopaths on the Northside of Brisbane, Joanne & her partner opened their own Osteopathic Clinic in 2004 called “Osteocare” in a beautiful heritage building along Sandgate Road, Nundah. This clinic has been operating for over 10 years and has a great reputation in helping families within the local community. With a love for natural medicine and allied health care Joanne decided to convert her Osteopathic Clinic Osteocare into the North Brisbane Health Centre and offer patients Naturopathy, Remedial Massage, Yoga and Osteopathy all under the one roof.
As a structural Osteopath, Joanne treats all your common musculoskeletal disorders from; Back pain, neck & shoulder pain, headaches to pregnancy related matters.
When not working, Joanne enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading and going to the beach
Natalie graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Complementary medicine) and Masters of Osteopathy with distinction. Natalie loves to help people feel and function as well as they can. This could mean helping an athlete with biomechanical and alignment issues or equally a chronic pain patient to achieve and enhance activities of daily life. Her approach to patient care is individualized and involves a wide variety of techniques ranging from the direct; soft tissue, joint articulation and joint manipulation to the gentle indirect osteopathic techniques, as well as using exercise programs.
Natalie has a background in sports, primarily gymnastics having been involved competing, coaching and judging for over ten years. She believes that a key part of dealing with sports injuries is patient education. Natalie enjoys helping those suffering with chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis and chronic back pain as well as acute musculoskeletal injuries.
In her spare time Natalie is involved in gymnastics and sailing and recently has been enjoying travelling both overseas and in Australia.
Christian has over 14 years’ experience as both treating and teaching Osteopathy, since graduating from RMIT in 2004. He discovered Osteopathy initially as a patient himself whilst training as an elite athlete. Osteopathy helped him overcome injury and led to a passion and interest in the field and practice of osteopathic medicine.
Christian has completed numerous post graduate studies which has enabled him to become a skilled and well-rounded Osteopath. He has a particular interest in paediatric and pre and post-natal care as well as treating people with a disability. He has completed Phases 1 - 9 (including Paediatrics) of the Biodynamic curriculum over many years with Dr Tom Shaver (Hawaii) and Dr James Jealous (USA).
Christian has also been a clinical teacher at both VUT (Melbourne) and Southern Cross University (Gold Coast). He enjoys giving back to the profession and igniting the passion in newly aspiring osteopathic students.
Jessica has been a remedial massage therapist in her own massage clinic’ Jessica Jades Massage’ for the last 5 years. During that time, she upgraded her qualifications to a myotherapist and has now brought her expertise and client base to the North Brisbane Health Centre. Jessica prides herself on the skills and knowledge she has gained over the year ranging from remedial, sports, deep tissue, relaxation, hot stone, pregnancy, lymphatic drainage and Indian head massage. Jessica has been a massage therapist for nearly 10 years and is always updating her studies to ensure she delivers a high quality treatment to all of her patients.
Jessica has enjoyed working with many elite competitors in a variety of sports from Iron Man sports, marathon and ultra-marathoners, cycling, track & field. Jessica herself is a marathon runner completing the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Brisbane marathons as well as completing the 100 km Oxfam trail walk raising over $2000. It is her dream to one day compete in the New York City marathon.
Zsuzsanna is a qualified Naturopath holding a Bachelor of Health Science (Nat) and Diplomas in Nutrition and Western Herbal Medicine. She is also currently undertaking a Master of Public Health.
Throughout her career, Zsuzsanna has combined her love of nature and holistic medicine with her thirst for knowledge, and desire to support and educate others, and this has seen her working for some of Australia’s top vitamin and supplement companies in the areas of research, new product development and education.
Today Zsuzsanna’s area of interest lies in understanding the biochemical, nutritional and environmental impacts on mood and mental health; and in supporting individuals suffering from stress and stress-related conditions resulting from the increasingly busy lives we lead.
Zsuzsanna’s approach to helping her patients is multi-factorial, and she combines traditional and holistic natural medicine practices, together with a current, evidence-based approach. Treatments are generally comprised of dietary and lifestyle advice, together with utilising herbal medicines, and specific vitamin, mineral and amino acid therapies to achieve desired health outcomes.
